Kristen & Christian | Youngberg Hill Vineyards Wedding | Preview

It was so incredible to spend a week back in beautiful Oregon to shoot Kristen & Christian’s wedding. I started off my week with their romantic vineyard wedding, and today I’m heading off to the Oregon coast with my wife. It’s one of the most beautiful states in the country, and it’s always fun to mix business with pleasure.

Amy & Quinton | Snug Harbor Wedding Photography | Preview

Amy and Quinton hosted an amazing, fun-filled wedding at one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever been to in New York City — Snug Harbor! Perfect weather, perfect lighting, and a super-rad couple with an amazing sense of humor made for a wonderful day of wedding photography.

I absolutely loved all the little details that made their day special — and as a treat (and a photographer’s dream) we ended the day with some sunset portraits by the Brooklyn Bridge. More to come, but enjoy these for now!

New York at Night

When my friend Will was in town from Portland, we went out and did some late-night long-exposure shooting down near the Brooklyn Bridge. There’s something really relaxing about night photography. It’s very old-school, as you have to put the camera on a tripod, take your time setting up the shot, and you often don’t know what you’re getting until you go home to ‘develop’ the image.

These are a few of my favorites. It’s inspired me to go out and do some more! Check back later for those.

Laura & Johannes | Lincoln Center Engagement Photos | Preview

Laura and Johannes are a really rad couple who live here in New York City. While it was supposed to storm this evening and we nearly called off our shoot, this was really the only time we could do a session between Laura’s work schedule and Johannes’ upcoming travel. Of course, the rain and thunder held off and gave some of the prettiest evening light I’ve ever shot in! We hit up Lincoln Center, Central Park, and hopped in a cab to catch the sunset at the pier in Long Island City. Enjoy these previews — more to come soon!
